Dead A1000 wanted!

I want to have a go at building an A1200 in to an A1000 case, but obviously I don't want to destroy a perfectly good A1000. So I am hoping someone (anywhere) has either a dead A1000, or just an A1000 case, that they would be prepared to sell. I'm in England but would be prepared to pay international shipping.

I don't think a A1200 Mobo would fit in an A1000 case...

Gizmomelb provided me with the internal case dimensions of the A1000:

5.5cm tall
43cm wide
30cm deep

I've got a feeling you're right by the time I add my Blizzard it will be too wide :-(

A real shame as the A1000 has IMO the nicest case design.

Not bad, but I still prefer the A1000. I have a feeling the depth of the case will be a problem for this project :-(

I have an a1000 case. Its yours if you want it(free), i'm in the US though, not sure if the shipping cost would be worth it. PM me if you want it.

I have similar case (Micronik) which is really tall, but unused because the A4000 in it have no CPU card and only 3.0 ROMs. It's works nice as drawer and bookshelf though. Also I have A1000, but it's working.

It's a little dirty. The yellow is on the back plate, machine must have spent most it's life with back to the sun.

Yup, it sure is. Motorollin is saving it from a fiery death via thermite. The only reason it hasnt already been chared is because there is no area near where i live where i would be sure not to get arrested for pulling that off. Even if i drove to a county that allows open burning, nobody in their right mind would let me set off a few pounds of thermite on their property.

But, if you cant give an amiga a proper funeral then you might as well turn it into an organ donor.
