Hi Rene,

Welcome to AO. If your into buying on ebay there are some greate deals on Amigas. If you want a machine that does everything then an A4000 would be your best route to go.

By the way my parents immagrated from Holland. There are some nice places I loved the smaller towns.
Amiga 2000HD Indivision ECS
Amiga 4000D towerised OS 3.1 and 3.9 on CF cards
Indivision AGA, Mediator 4000
Video Toaster 4000 Flyer v4.3 Millenium.
202gig of video drive space & 5gig audio.

Actually an A1200 tower would be a better route to go if you want a network card, since it has the 16-bit PCMCIA slot.  Likewise the announced PowerVixxen LT accelerator card (if it ever comes out) is going to be targeted at the A1200 trapdoor slot first before any new accelerator cards come for A4000 from that company.  Lastly the tower expansion kits for the A1200 use PCI slots instead of Zorro3 slots like the A4000.

BTW Welcome to Amiga.org!

Welcome!!!

One week ago I was new in this forum, and I can tell you, that in Amiga.org there is very helpfulness air!

They help you everytime  ;-)

Reading the forum, and asking some things, I understund that better choice for return to Amiga style, is A1200.

As I can see, you are European as me (Italian), and you can get a lot of A1200 from German people checking on eBay.

Or you can get new from web sites.

....this week I've get A2000  :-P  on eBay...

And remember:

Have a nice day, Angelo.  :-)

Welcome!

It's great to see a splurge of new users over this weekend. Must be something in the air that has triggered people's Amiga memories!

Yeah we have the whole 80's come back thing going on.  The Converse shoes made a come back. We have vintage Commodore games, cheezy music made a resurgence. Amigas are getting popular again, and have a depressed economy getting spearheaded by a babbling Republican.  Is it 1986 again ?

Hahahah 1986....it was a good time !
But not only the whole `80 are comming back
I am sitting by my pc ..why ?
a smal boy named kevin (6) is playing the amiga !!
The games on a pc are nice but only 3d shooters,or verry div.strategy on a amiga you have lots off games for erery`s need !
Maybe the machine (AMIGA)is winning people back.
If a company can bring a new amiga for LESS monney you have a computer with a hudge software libary  and who nows later on new software

It'd be nice, but I fear any Amiga resurgence is just wishful thinking...

But it's great to hear the younger generation playing with Amigas! Especially as even the most recent Amiga would have been released before Kevin was even born!
