A1000 startup as ring tone
« on: January 25, 2006, 09:32:21 PM »
This may sound a little odd to some, but has anyone set up their cell phone using the A1000 startup jingle as the ring tone?

I'm giving it some thought, so I was wondering if anyone has already been down this road before.

Not really, but I'm using an Amiga related ringtone:
The one pattern loop chip made by TDK (Mark Knight) which was used in a Melon cracktro.  :-)

The A1000's startup can be found here as an AU file (which can easily be converted to WAV or MP3, or whatever your phone might use) if anyone's interested.

Oddly enough, I don't remember my A1000 ever making that sound! But then again, I don't use it very often...

I thought the A1000 did an etude using a square waveform.  The sound on InTheSand's link doesn't sound anything like it.
