Collecting classic Amiga pics in IFF format
« on: January 29, 2006, 09:02:24 PM »
I used to have a lot of pics back in the day for the Amiga in IFF format!  I have since lost all of them over the years, but was thinking it would be cool to collect them all, especially the SACHS Pics!  I am willing to offer then on my web site for other amigans to get!  Anyone have a collection they can send to get me started?
Going Bananas over AMIGAs since 1987...

Looking for Fusion Fourty PNG ROMs V3.4?

Are you getting any responses? I have a relative pittance of IFFs, but just last night I started up my Amiga (after being in the garage for over a year; I know, I shouldn't have done that). If I can read the disks, I will get some together.

On this page you can find some of my IFFs that I converted to GIFs for posting. You should be able to tell the IFFs from the scanned artwork.

(BTW - some of my IFFs [not the above] can get kind of 'blue,' if you know what I mean - want those too?)

I started posting a response last week to give you a link to a site with loads of Jim Sachs images, but cancelled the post when I found that the link is now dead.

I've got a few of those images, in IFF format (only 9 original format, 3 are crappy gif or jpg) if you like. When converting IFF, you should convert to PNG to keep colour accurate.

I started a thread about classic Amiga images on EAB last year and got no response. What I'd like to get are the images on the A500 and A1000 boxes, the Sculpt 3D "thing" (original full sized IFF image), and advertising images for DCTV, HAM-E, PageRender 3D. (and a few others that blew me away in the late 80's)

I believe I have the Aegis Draw demo disk from my A1000 around here somewhere....let me go digging!  Those have the bulk of the Sachs art you might be thinking of.

I did some digging....there's a ton of great art of Fred Fish Disk 30.  Lots of Sachs....most that I remember.
