Hi everyone,
I have two A1200s, neither will boot.
One I have had for several years and was partically flooded during a huricane about two years ago. Now that I have gotten my home back to gether I pulled out the old A1200 and started to tinker with it with hopes it could be revived. I am sure the hard drive is a lost cause, it was on the half that was submerged. With HD removed and power on, the screen will flash white(very quickly) then green. After about half a second it will fade to black. The power LED comes on and the floppy drive clicks.
The other one I bought off ebay (knowing it didnt work, but was hoping I could use the other one to repair). When this one is powered on the screen flashed white(agian very quickly) and turns black. The power LED is on, and floppy drive makes a single click. Also after a few minutes of being powered on the chip directly in front of the parellel port gets hot to touch, but not so hot you can't touch it. I haven't left it on long enough to see if it will get to hot to touch.
Are both of these a lost cause? Any ideas to revive? I miss my Amiga!
Thanks,
Brian
