A600 Connections
« on: November 06, 2005, 02:03:39 PM »
Recently whilst helping clearing out a Loft i found an Amiga Commodre A600. Without instructions....

I have read that for an A1200 i thikn it was that it can handle a hard drive, and seeing as on the back on the A600 it has a connection for both a second Disk Drive and a standard printer port is there a way of adding a hard drive of some form.

I was wondering seeing as I have a word processing program for it (cant remember which at the second) if there was a way i could get a driver for a HP DeskJet 810c... even if i doubt it.

Is there anywhere that i can get more games for it, for some reason Game stores amiga section has dispanded.....

My friend.....you can add in internal Laptop Harddrive up to 80Gigabytes and more!

You can also add an internal Faster processor for up to 32mb and Even a USB card! and a Wirless PCMCIA card that laptops use. underneath there is a door to add an extra Megabyte of Video Memory called ChipRAM.
as far as Games?  your in heaven buddy!   go to Back2Roots.org and download your behind off!

Oh.and yes there are drivers for the HP printer as well as WordProcessor.........Final Writer and Amiga Writer and WordWorth are the Good ones.

Go here to See a fully upgraded (Almost)  Amiga 600

http://www.amiga600.de/

CD32 is actually the best Amiga ever made by Commodore!...

Welcome A600 user!
All things leirbag28 said was completely true.
If you want a HD bigger than 4GB you must have Kickstart 3.1 ROM, although you can use up to 4GB HD with Kickstart 37.350 ROM as well.
I recommend as leirbag28 did to have a look at
www.amiga600.de (by Christian Krenner)
www.amiga600.net (by Mike Parker)
These are A600 fanatics that made a great upgrade to their miggys!
I inspired by those guys and I have an upgraded A600 with
-68030@42Mhz+68882@40Mhz FPU
-HD 3.2GB (I don't need a larger one!)
-4MB Fast RAM, 2MB Chip RAM
-Compact Flash to IDE Adapter (with 256 CF Card)
-PCMCIA Ethernet NIC
-3.1 Kickstart ROM
running in AmigaOS 3.9 BB2

Feel free to ask anything you want!
As for games you can download WHDLoad from www.whdload.de
and download many many games to use on your HD without using floppies!
