max current on RS232
« on: November 04, 2005, 09:50:58 AM »
I'd like to attach large external fan (120mm) to help cooling A4000D. Would it be possible to use 12V from serial port for powering it? The fan draws less than 300mA.
Better sorry than worry.

nope . . even because AFAIK theres not a 12v pin on the parallel port of the A4000.

+5v out> 10mA

You can use 12V from power supply. I add one big fan to my A4000. Now I have 5 fans inside.
