Again... Java for AmigaOS?
« on: October 14, 2005, 06:08:58 AM »
Anybody know if there are any projects out there to port Java to AmigaOS? Everytime someone gets close they quit and never release any source. Very frustrating. If anybody has heard of anything please let me know.

For those of you who hate Java, please don't flame me. I use it and I like it. And yes I know that on an Amiga it probably won't be very usable. I'd like to think that some of you ASM masters out there could make it usable but what can you say.

There's JAmiga available in alpha form. Haven't heard much from the project recently.

"Today's Amigas" run on G3/G4s so I guess they can run Java apps fine, no ASM needed.

I found recently freecol.org, probably the most cool Java project going on so I'm convinced that we need Java too ;)
