SFS for boot partition safe?

Just installed SFS for a "INTERNET" partition which houses ibrowse,aweb.simplemail,simpleftp etc..
It is extremely fast compared to the FFS which came with the install of os 3.9 about 2x as fast I would say.
So I want to install it on my BOOT partition but is this safe to do?

How about crashing?

I used to have IBROWSE caching to it's partition which used to be my boot partition always gave me a unvalid hd which I had to rescue with disksalv.

SFS on the boot partition is as safe as on any other partition.

You should create a new partition only for browser caches.

And you should avoid to write to your boot partition (especially when using FFS).

Yeah,
A good  basic tip that anyone using Ibrowse should do.

SFS is supposed to be safer, IMHO.

But, in the event of an invalid partition You’ll be better off with FFS, using disksalv or other recovery  tools as the operation is that much quicker. (the cashe can just be deleted rather than recovered).

BTW,  i use FFS.

SFS partitions cant become invalidated. Corrupt maybe.

Will give it a go then.
Will give the system an extra boost I think.
If there is writing/reading to the "BOOT" partition it usually concerns a lot of small files(LIBS/C) and these kind of dir's are always kind of slow in FFS.
Also copying is about twice as fast as FFS so I noticed when I tried copying the "PREFS" dir.

I would say:

DO NOT PUT SFS ON YOUR BOOT PARTITION.

I had major problems and they were definitely caused by SFS and I did lots of careful testing to prove it. I had an identical FFS boot partition (identical in every way, except FFS) and all problems went away with FFS.

I would tell you exactly what happened, but I'll have to search for the document I created when testing.
