Boxed?!? Ha!

If you want a good laugh, look at the pictures on this auction

AdPro in a box!

Notice the manual and "Box" inside the AdPro sleeve.  Of course being "boxed" it will double the bid prices.   :-D

What's the deal?  The deal is that sellers know that they get more money for original boxed items than those without, so this guy, who does NOT have the original box, but does have the original sleeve that covered the box has put another box that almost fits the sleeve.  AdPro always came with a very nice three ring binder for their manual and it looks like this guy just has a photocopied, loose manual.  That is the deal as I see it.  Very funny to try to sell something by pretending it is something else.  Sad actually, for those that don't know the difference and end up buying it.  AdPro is a very nice package and a great program.

Well he's not exactly deceiving people as theres good photos on there. And some amiga software did come in different boxes and with photocopied manuals later on when companies were struggling.

Not exactly much to get all worked up about.

Technically it is boxed and he doesnt say it's in the "original" one :roll:

He should have put the sleeve round a Kellogs Cornflakes box for maximum effect. :lol:

Geez, I've got that same program with the original box. Maybe I should sell him the box?

@lorddef,  I'm not "all worked up" about it.  Just pointing out
that I thought it funny and a little sad that the seller is
doing that to try to make a few extra bucks.

I do like the cornflakes box idea though!

@Dave

I'll bet you have a nice collection of classic stuff:-). I have seen some pictures of TJ's collection, do you have any pictures of your collection to share?

I have a fair collection myself, but I don't have a camera yet.

Jeff

No pictures at the moment, but soon.  The new office should be done in about a month if I don't run out of money first.  I am embarassed to admit to most people how many Amiga computers and peripherals I have collected over the last 18 years (I still have them all).  I will take that pic and post it here as soon as I have my render farm network of Amigas set up and working.

Yeah right, that seller made a bundle - Five whole dollars. If he did not have the box then he probably could only have made one dollar. LMAO
