I wish I could keep my military spec Amiga, but it just doesn't get the use it used to get. I know I will miss it, but, like I said, if I miss it too much I'll just build an AmigaForever box - I currently have enough pieces to do so. When I went to cable modem I stopped using it (no more net access) and I just can't justify spending $150+CAD for a bloody Zorro-RJ45-NIC. Also, I am changing other hobby areas - switching film SLR to digital SLR. I also have come to the conclusion that I just have too much freakin' stuff. I think my hobby IS hobbies - Lego, model rockets, RC cars, slot cars, computers, photography, stamps, kites, woodworking, music - and I have to start thinning the list. So if any of you guys want any Lego, model rockets, or RC car stuff, let me know.

Pete

I think you should sell it to Doomy so that he can sell it to several other people!

PS: This is not an actual endorsement for Doomy. Had this been an actual endorsement this post would have been sufixed with a "Milspec:" number.

I once had a model rocket and set it of a few times in the park near my house, it was great, then decided to get the biggest engine possible (I was using mid to low size ones at the time), you got four of them in the packet, well I was dead excited, how far was it going to go? etc.. set it off and that was the last I saw of it lol, it went that high that I watched it come down in a cemetery that was miles away (how ironic), went looking for it but never did find it, that was the end off that hobby.

I have to admit, I would keep it as well.

The wierdest thing is that everyone has thier own favorite Amiga. You always think you want a different one, a faster one maybe, but you always end up back at the same place.

Mine was the A2000. I dont know why. I have owned 1000's, a few 3000's, a bunch of 500's and an Amiga 1200. I don't own any of them anymore. I always end up with an A2000 again. In fact, after selling all my Amiga's about a year ago, I just purchased 2 more A2000's from ebay.

I would keep the 2000.

Just my 2 cents,
Mike

@Pete

First, Bubbles rules!! :)

And second, I'd love to take it off your hands but I can't justify spending any money on a classic when I already have too many... I should be saving up for a Pegasos or A1 if anything.  Very nice system though!

That said, if you're just looking for a good home for it...  look no further =)

I'm in Halifax.

Like others, I'd happily buy the  GVP TekMagic 060 with 48MB! I'd take the whole lot, except I just bought an A2000.

.....ho ho. I used to fly rockets back in Arizona. Did the same thing: built a super cool rocket, stuffed the biggest freakin' engine I could into and the biggest freakin' parachute. We tracked it as far as we could til it hit a thermal and it just went up...and up...and up... and then the tiny little speck disapeared from my binoculars. But another kid had a fat telescope and he followed it to ground a couple three miles away, hangin' from a power line. By the time we drove out across the desert and found it the chute had gotten untangled and it fell into my hands. I tossed it in the car and we jumped inside and my buddy's little brother sat on it and crushed it..... :evil:
