gfx card question

Pondering towering up my A1200 and getting a gfx card to work in a system friendly way with Workbench and primarily OctaMED - also it would be nice if I didn't have to feed non promoted screens through a switch box to see them. What is the best
gfx card for this? I'm thinking Zorro or PCI as I don't have a PPC accelerator.

How much money do you want to spend??  You could probably get a GVP Spectrum or Picasso II used inexpensively on one of the various auction sites.  For going PCI, you need the Mediator board which will obviously increase your cost.

Don't. This will cost you more than a Pegasos/AOne, and the desktop 1200 is SOO Cool !

That depends. You can tower up an A1200 for nothing more than the price of the case and some graft with a hacksaw ;-)

It's the PCI/Gfx that will cost you!

The desktop A1200 isn'l always cool - especially with a 68040 inside it :lol:

Get a Zorro4 busboard, they are rather cheap these days. And put a Cybervision64/3D card in it. It's not as fast as a Voodoo3 but it works great and easy and is supported by Cybergfx and Picasso96 and not so expensive. Getting one on Ebay is also not a bad idea if you want to save money ...
