I was a junior in high school working for my local Amiga dealer.. What a time.. The machine was like nothing on earth, they were actually up there mixing video and computer graphics and it wasn't a $20,000 machine and they were actually making art.. The Great Andy Warhol and Blondie, had just shown us a revolution. Wow this looks like the Mac but it has color and extra processors.. I can't believe this that I am actually allowed to even see this. Gosh could I actually own one of these? I could afford $1295.. It's so stylish, there will be so much productivity software, the machine is so ahead.. Apple and IBM aren't gonna compete.. Wow Lotus 1-2-3 is coming out.. Okay Textcraft looks cool but where are the fonts and graphics insert.. Musicraft wow.. It sounds like a real piano.. Oh it just crashed, no wait it's a demo "Amiga Fireworks MODE"...

Wow, what can happen in 20 years...

To mark the 20th anniversary we should demand a XOOPs BOING! message icon and smiley.

Maybe a smiling Petro Tyschtenko or a smiley with a Jay Miner beard and hawaiian shirt.

:-D

I remember fondly Spaceballs:State of the Art demo, printing stuff from Deluxe Paint and downloading a seamingly endless supply of PD games off Aminet!

Come to think of it, how old is Aminet now?
