FKey help please
« on: March 15, 2003, 10:41:51 AM »
OK People, anyone successfully saved a configuration for FKey in OS3.9? Mine seemingly never saves to hard disk and I've looked in RAM; env-archive etc with no joy. Is this  a bug that you are aware of? Please don't tell me to use MCX as although its good its puts an Amiga OS3.1 screen title up and its 3.9 now. Puritanical or perfectionist I know.
Thanks

Hmm, you have FKey in WBStartup, right? I know it seems to suffer from long script inputs, but it always works for me for smilies! heh

With WB3.1, I think FKey saves it's info as tooltypes in it's icon.  Make sure you have FKey.info and it should work. ;-)

I had the some problem but I don`t remember how I solved it. Maybe the boing bag or I copyied the old FKey. Anyway for now just open the information window of FKey and put on the tooltypes the shortcuts.

It's a bug in OS3.9's FKey, it won't save its settings correctly (the settings are saved as tooltypes in Fkeys icon). One of the BoingBags will fix this.

You may aswell use FKey from any other OS3.x version, or enter the tooltypes manually, here's an example how they should look like:

«control tab» RUN DOpus:Directory Opus

Yes - you've sorted me out there. I've got it working with the tooltypes. Will download the boingbags later.
Thanks very much for your help.
