How to test an A1200 motherboard?
« on: June 05, 2005, 03:34:23 PM »
Hello!

As I've written in another thread, I'm going mad to obtain a stable system from my A1200 configuration.
So I'm trying to test every part to localize the problem.

At the moment, I've an Apollo 1240 and a FastAta IDE controller. I'm also using an ATX PSU.

The default configuration seems good but as I mount the Apollo and/OR the FastATA, the 1200 crashes.

So I would start from the basis: the motherboard.

How can I test it in all its parts? Is there some useful software to do this?
In particular I'm looking for something that could "force" the CPU and the custom chips (Lisa, Alice, Gayle and Paula). So, if these tests pass without any errors, I'll can be sure that the motherboard is good.

Any suggestion?

THANKS!
Alex
