os 3.9/picasso96/cv643d problem
« on: March 05, 2003, 03:24:51 PM »
My CV643d card works fine on os3.1 with picasso96. Refuses to cooperate with os3.9 though. Using identical picasso96settings I get no signal to the monitor. Boot into 3.1 and it works. Boot into 3.9 and it fails. The debug tool sees the card no problem. (I even tried cgx3: it'll give me a screen but will crash the machine if try to open any directories beyond the initial volume).

Machine is an A4000 with a csppc 040/25 604e/233 and 64meg ram. (with gvp i/o card and an asdg eb920 network card)

Any help/suggestions gratefully received.

Ta.

Try replacing the 68040.library installed by OS3.9 with the one that came with the CyberStorm.

Doesn't appear to have had any affect :/

I disabled the exec.library update from setpatch and the cgx on the 3.9 cd appears to be working OK now. No crashes - think I had accidentally installed an older version. Odd that P96 no worky. Never mind. Thanks for the suggestion.
