Power Supply question
« on: March 21, 2005, 01:26:10 PM »
Hello

I have an A4000T (by Eagle, but it's an AT 4000T motherboard)  with a 250W power supply. Currently, the power supply serve the motherboard (with a Cyberstorm 060), 1 floppy drive, 3 HDs and a CD writer, with no problem at all.
Now I would like to add a DVD-ROM (I managed to get a SCSI one). I wonder if the load could become too much.
So, since the PSU is now more than 10 years old, I was thinking to buy a new one.
As far as I know any standard AT PSU works nice with the A4000T. Is it right? How much power do I need for the new PSU?
Is there some other issue I should pay attention to, in the choise of a new PSU?

regards
