File sharing from A1200 Desktop to PC
« on: February 15, 2005, 04:36:39 PM »
I am considering an upgrade of my A1200 Desktop’s Serial Port.  My goal is to link the Amiga to my PC’s file library.  First, would an upgrade allow me any flexibly over a PCMCIA 10BASE-T network card?  If so, is there a preferred (fastest) upgrade path (i.e., Twister, Silver Surfer, USB, etc.)?

Thanks again for your help here!

The only reason I'd go with a faster serial is if you plan to use the Amiga for dialup internet.  Otherwise, Ethernet via a PCMCIA NIC is faster, cheaper, and easier.
Time to move on.  Bye Amiga.org.  :(
