Absolutely right.  Until we get AOS4 on it, it's a bit pointless.  

However, for the record...

My A1 has been up for 26 days since last reboot (and that was to change the graphics card). KDE 3.1 was n't happy at times, but was killed okay.

OpenOfficeOrg (not exactly famous for being nippy) runs faster (subjectively) than on my 800Mhz P3s. Quake seems a little speedier too. (although 3D under Linux is bleugh)

Even if AOS4 is duff, it'll be a lot quicker than on a 68060.  And it won't be duff. I can't wait :)

Can you do me a quick favour and email me a dmesg output (or if that isn't a complete hardware listing, whatever does provide that) from your A1?  Just interested :-)
