Picollo Passthrough Cable
« on: January 04, 2005, 12:14:19 AM »
Hi all,

After almost 4 years of doing absolutely nothing with my Amiga(s), last week I caught the bug/buzz again and started retreiving items from the attic (so far I've found 15 Amiga's! :)).

I'm now in the process of rebuilding my trusty old A4000/040 (okay, and a 1200, and a 3000UX..) which runs so far fine with my old CV64/3D. Unfortunately, this card doesn't have the scandoubler option, and so I need an additional PAL monitor for the occasional -but mandatory- game of Slamtilt or another show of Desert Dreams. :)

But deskspace is at a premium here, it's a rather uncomfortable setup right now. Also, I'd like it to look like a nice and clean "all-amiga" setup with a 1942 or 1438 monitor, since (naturally) it holds a lot of sentimental value, and ofcourse my visitors will need to be able to pay respect to it :)

Fortunately, I've also recovered a Picollo GFXcard from my girlfriend's A4000 (yup, my girlfriend had/has Amiga's too! :)) which has a rather convenient Amiga video passthrough port, a 9 pin sub-D connector.

Now -finally-, my problem: I can't find the passthrough cable in my gigantic pile of hardware bits and pieces up in the attic.. I've tried a C= RGB cable such as the ones that go to certain 1084s models, but that gave a signal that was missing sync from the looks of it. The picollo works fine by itself, FWIW.

Does anyone have any details on this cable? Like
a) What does it look like?
b) Anyone know pin-outs?
c) Are the C= cables supossed to work?

Any help will be most appreciated, thanks in advance,

 Rick
