Webcams and the Amiga...
« on: December 28, 2004, 10:17:53 PM »
Evening all, I know this'll probably cause a few chuckles but is there any way to use a USB webcam with a USB equipped amiga? It's abuot the only thing my PC does which the amiga can't  :-)

I just plugged in a 'Creative Webcam Go' to see if the USB stack recognises it and it does. There's no driver available yet so not too useful.

We need more people to tackle the issue of device driver shortage.

Maybe a silly question but does Amiga have TWAIN support for imaging devices ?

VHIStudio supports webcam, as well as other imaging devices.
Time to move on.  Bye Amiga.org.  :(

Hehe well I don't know the first thing about programming and such, so hopefully there'll be someone around who might be interested  :-)

I remember years ago about 1996 Eyetech sold webcams with video conferencing software or something
