Mediator1200, Voodoo3, P96 and Warp3d
« on: December 12, 2004, 08:07:45 PM »
Hi Peeps,

I'm trying to set up Warp3d to work with my mediator voodoo3, the install goes fine but whenever I try to run the test apps my machine either gurus or errors. If I just doubleclick on the w3ddemo then A requester appears asking me to choose a screenmode but there are none in there.

Anybody got any ideas why I dont have any screenmodes appearing in the box?

Also on my workbench if I try to snapshot the icons for my drives down the left hand side of the screen, when I reboot they all get shifted up to the top as if they are being bound by a 640x480 screensize, I'm running in 1024x768, eg

I snapshot like this:

ram
dh0
dh1
dh2
dh3
dh4
dh5
dh6
dh7
dhh

When I reboot they are all force up like this:

ram  dh3  dh7
dh0  dh4  dh8
dh1  dh5
dh2  dh6

Any ideas?

My machine is the following spec: Blizzard060, mediator 1200, voodoo3 3000, wb3.9 & p96, warp3d v 4.2

All the p96 libs etc meet the minimum versions in the warp3d readme. :-?

I would like to give it a try...

As for Warp3D I will suggest that you download MedConfig from the ELBOX website. It should set up the right envs for you. The reason why you can't get your W3D demos running could be because of some bad W3D libraries. When I have to install Warp3D on my A1200 setup I need to replace the drivers with others in order to get it working, even though I have the original Mediator CD :-( If this is also the case on your system, then I can mail the needed files to you if you want me to.

Are you using OS3.9? If so, there is a file on the OS3.9 CD called IconPos. Try copying this file to your c: drawer, and then use this to put the icons where you want them. It might also help to write enable al you disk icons like this

protect dh0:Disk.info rwed

and then just replace dh0: with any of your devices.

Hi! Avoid to use the warp demo because or they don't work.. = amiga guru! or they work but the games don't work !! :-)

It's a little bit strange but assure that the games like shogo quake work fine with the 3d!

If so you have configured well your 1200 !

Regards!
