Flicker Fixer arrived
« on: September 01, 2004, 09:38:34 PM »
Hi,

Finally my shipment from vesalia came in.
They did make some dubious mistakes.
But I will sort it out with them and expect to be treated like a customer should. Back to the question....

I installed the flickerfixer and guess what! After being shipped in a (!) plastic (!) bag it actually works.

However one chip, the tiny one on the lower right, gets mighty hot.

Does any of you got into trouble with that or shouldn't I worry?

Regards,
Erno

(O\\\\_|_/O) <- this is supposed to look like the front of my beetle
(entire front not possible in signature)

Any Flickerfixer inter or extern gets hot, some more some less, so don`t bother. If you like you can add a passive heatsink if you like, but it is not really neccessary.
Aktive cooling wouldn`t be a good idea since most flickerfixers produce a stable image only after they reached their "working temperature"
Not really interesting, but it`s there.
