Most of these little patches can be found in programs like MultiCX and MCP.  Be careful running too many utilities though, my Amiga got pretty darn buggy after running about two dozen of them at once.  :-)

Directory Tool - ABCDir
Palette Locking - LoadCMAP
Screen Promotion - ModePro
Menu Enhancer - MagicMenu, AddTools
Icon Editor - Iconian (2.9r)
Window utils - WindowToFront, Iconify & TitleShadow
Title Clock - NISclock
Text Copying - PowerSnap

Full screen shell - ScreenShell
File finder - SimpleFind3
Disk Salvage - DiskSalv 4
Application Monitor - SnoopDOS

They should all be on Aminet.

You didn't look hard enough!

With so many good utilities, and with the verge of new users... I think it's lacking a good review system, maybe à lá Wickipedia, so the user can share it's down and plus side and cross referencing with other similar utilities...
