Stopping the Boot

Hi all.
Has been a while, can't remember how to do it.
There is something in my startup-sequence that freezes the machine up when booting.  I would like to get rid of this line that is freezing it up, but I can't get into WB to edit the startup-sequence.  Is there a way of just bringing up a shell or something?  Thanks.

if your using an a600/a1200/a4000 , not sure bout the a2000/a3000. but if u hold down both mouse buttons on startup u will get to early boot up screen. the select boot with no startup-sequence, u will then by in a shell

Just for reference for anyone else reading, on the older machines (WB1.3 / A500 / A2000), if you hold down Ctrl-D once the boot screen disappears, it *should* break into the startup sequence.
