Mounting AsimCDFS... annnnnnd then stopping

Hi Guys...
having a problem.. i was having a look at an old cd I found and it had newicons on it, so naturally I went ahead and installed it without thinking.  After a reboot it got up to a point and then said "Mounting AsimCDFS..." and froze up. Now every time I boot it freezes at that point and can't get past.  Something to do with the cdrom?  HELP?!

Edit the s:user-startup (or Startup-sequence) files and removes references to mounting this driver
e.g. MOUNT CD0: (FROM file)
