TCP for A1200 on OS3.1
« on: April 10, 2003, 12:55:10 AM »
Trying to get TCP working on a A1200. It's an original console with no expansion. I got a PCMCIA NIC and driver is installed.

Am I wasting my time trying to do this without an accel card, fastram, OS3.9...etc?

I need TCP stack that isn't a demo. I am willing to pay a reasonable amount for it if anyone knows where to get it.

Is There a package that can be copied to my 1200 from a CDROM on my PC using AExplorer over a serial connection, that can get me up an running on my NIC?

All I want is to use AExplorer over a TCP network at 10mb/s on OS 3.1.

Well I have Termite on the way. Picked it up on Ebay. Will see what happens.  I'm hoping that termite will work with the pcmcia card and cnet driver.

Again, all I need is to be able to transfer files quickly without 720K floppy (what a pain).

The serial controller will only do 19200 baud and 38400 is not an option in the settings for the 1200. It's excrutiatingly slow. it takes about 15 minutes to download a 1M file.
