I don't know about an adapter that will let you use IDE devices on your SCSI controller, but there is a device that will let you use SCSI devices on your IDE controller.  I believe it is called SCSI+.  If you want faster IDE devices, you should take a look at the PowerFlyer and Buddha/Catweasel.  - Lars
