I have an Impact A2000-HC+2 with the V1.0 roms. I'll dump them tonight and link them here. I've tried a million things to try and get PFS3 installed on this card. I'll find the links to my other posts discussing this and post them here. If a decent solution can be found I'll be a happy man! First prize would be finding and dumping the PAL so that the V3.15 rom can be used.

Sorry for taking so long to reply, real life got in the way and the cricket World Cup started this weekend!! I think I do have the install disk somewhere, I'll look for it. I know that the install disk only allows you to install OFS on the drive, it doesn't allow you to add any file systems to the RDB.

I haven't tried using the startup-sequence to add a filesystem, I used a GVP IOExtender card that had a boot rom socket on it to add the 3.15 rom. The only problem is that you can't do a warm reboot, the A2000 would just hang with a black screen, you'd have to switch it off and on again to boot.

I tried every possible way to get the 3.15 rom working on the HC+2 card, split it into odd and even, byte swapped it, created a checksum etc. Nothing worked. Unfortunately I don't know how to remaster the rom and change the bootcode so that it'll work without a PAL change. Hopefully someone out there can do it! :)

Hi Mark,

I've finally managed to repair my Willem EPROM programmer, the power supply circuitry wasn't delivering enough current to the EPROMs when programming them, so they would either not program at all or would fail the verification process.

Anyway, YOU DA MAN!!! The ver 3.15 roms you've made work brilliantly so far! Haven't done any thorough testing yet but the 9GB hard drive that I setup on my Series II controller a while ago boots up perfectly when connected to the Series I controller. It's got the original (Not the All-In-One) PFS3 Direct SCSI version installed on it and so far has absolutely no issues going beyond the 4GB barrier.

I'm gonna do some serious testing this weekend using the All-In-One version of PFS3, setting up a 9GB hard drive from scratch, setting up the CD-ROM drive etc. I'll do the memory dumps you requested as well and report on any other findings I may have. I'm doing everything on a stock 68000 A2000 with 2MB fast ram on the Series I controller card.

Cheers!
