All the Blizzard cards are PCMCIA friendly except the Blizzard 1220/4. A external Zappo  PCMCIA  HD drive does not work with Blizzard 1230 IV and Blizzard 1260.  I use them both with SCSI-kits. The B1260 with 2x 64MB EDO RAM and B1230 IV with 48 MB of RAM. The following PCMCIA expansions I tested are Squirrel SCSI Controller, Target and Dynalink 10Mbit Network cards. If you are going to buy a secondhand SCSI-kit, you have to check the SCSI ROM version. Avoid rom version below 8.1, because it locks your computer up when using a CD-ROM drive or other removable drives. There is a program (softSCSI) to patch your older SCSI version to 8.1 or higher, but I sometimes have lockups.
