Curtis,

Make sure you send Jens a message to flash your Buddha with the fixed firmware.  There are a lot of people, Acill and I included, whose cards don't work with anything other than the included Disk on Module.  I tried several IDE HDs and CDROMS, and it wouldn't even detect them.  Users over on A1K also have had the same experience.  There is a fix in the works, but, it requires sending the cards back to Germany to have him update the Xilinx chip for you.

Wrong. "The CPLD update is only required if you want to use the Fast-Z2 mode of the Z4 board. For all other uses, the CPLD code is fine, and only a flash update of the firmware may be needed."

Nevertheless, it's defective, regardless of the problem's origin.  I have two of them, and, they both do not function as they should.  I've tried them on both A2000s, an A3000, and my A4000.   It's not just me that is having the issue with multiple IDE HDs and CDs not working on it.  Several users over on A1K have tried in excess of 10 hard disks, only to have two of them work.  Nothing works on mine other than the DOM it came with.  It doesn't even detect the presence of the 5 or so HDs I've tried (all 20 year old drives that are known working on other IDE cards (FastATA 4000 MKVII, the A1K at-bus clone, the crappy IDE4Zorro card) on the Amiga with no issue).

Of course, due to the update not being released yet.
