It's true that MiamiSSL needs a registered version of Miami, but that's not a problem - AmiSSL v2 will work fine with Miami, and this is the preferred SSL library for IBrowse. You just need to set the IB security prefs not to "Use MiamiSSL", after installing AmiSSL v2, of course. Download links and info available at

I don't remember with AmiTCP offers DHCP or not - I think I just set it up to use static addresses from my router. IIRC, you can stop AmiTCP by sending a Ctrl-C signal to the AmiTCP kernel task, or something like that.
I'm not sure why your WB icon name colours are changing - IBrowse certainly shouldn't interfer there, unless the pens the WB is using are not locked for some reason. If you are using any third-party programs to customize the WB look, then they could be the problem.
