I'm having a problem with WinUAE. Whatever is responsible for regulating the delay for input devices is going way too fast. Consequently, I have to click very fast with the mouse in order to produce a double click, and the keyboard is so sensitive I can't help ttttyyyppppiiiinnggg   lllliiikkkeeee    thhhiiisss.

How can I remedy this problem?

Actually, I had it on Fastest Possible setting when this problem first occured. I since put it in JIT which speeded up operations considerably including boot time, but the same problem prevailed.

Here's an idea of the extent of the problem... i logged into irc using amirc, and amirc started reporting '40 seconds of lag' after about 4 seconds.
