Setting up a network without DHCP
« on: October 10, 2003, 01:32:49 PM »
Im having problems with my network at the moment particularly with DHCP on the amiga side. Can i manually configure the ip addresses instead and still share the broadband internet connection? If so how do I go about it? We had the network set up this way but then the XP internet sharing wizard set all the pcs to dhcp which works fine for them but on my amiga it can take a few tries (and resets) before it will obtain an ip address.

Well i just tried to specify both the ethernet ip address of the PC andthen the modem gateway as the gateway for miami to use. Neither allow me to connect to the internet. Any idea why I have to reset if it cannot get ip addresses by DHCP?
