try unticking the "use miamissl" :-) in Ibrowse prefs... Seems a few people have that ticked and are wondering why SSL isnt working...

Ive got both MiamiSSL and AmiSSL installed here and they both work fine, though Miami gives 168bit ciphers, AmiSSL is *only* 128 :-)

As for legalities... who cares :-) Although I seem to recall the once US and rest of world installers for MiamiSSL are no longer such an issue and US citizens can install the global one, which to me suggests a relaxing in US law so perhaps AmiSSL is legal? I gues s it might give some hints in the documentation?

you didnt purchase the ciphers, you downloaded them from 2 different locations... and if I recall correctly the law changed in the US a few years ago allowing the international ciphers to be used inside the US and visa versa.
