From what I understand magnums are just slightly reworked apollo cards... looking at my magnum 030 and apollo 030 I see they are identical, same goes for the 040 cards I once had.
Personally I think apollo's are the cheaper card but thats not to say they are bad... just lower specced, they dnt have DMA scsi and the memory bus can only take a maximum of 2x32mb simms. Id go for an apollo 060/66 if i had the chas, I used to have one in one of my A1200's until I had to sell it :-(
