Scandanavian travel
« on: April 15, 2004, 05:58:15 PM »
It'll be a long way off, so I don't need any really specific information yet, but I'm planning to travel to the Baltic States again later this year, but this time taking a more Northerly route (last time I went via Poland and then eventually got ferry across Baltic to Finland). I wouldn't mind starting to plan it now though - partly cos if I don't stay focused on it, it'll never happen.

I want to visit a friend in Copenhagen, and after that I have no one that I know until I get to Tallinn, but I was thinking of seeing some of Sweden and maybe Norway - and more of Finland [only spent two days in Helsinki]. But what I want to know is:
I assume that it's dead easy to get a ferry to Sweden from Denmark. Does it cost much? Are they frequent?
I'd assume the transport is good in no,se and fi is good, but is it expensive? Would I be better off with coaches, trains or hire car in each country?

I suppose I could always look stuff up in tourist sites etc, but it's always better to ask people who actually live in the place you want to visit!

Thanks in advance :-)
