Eat that, frenchies!

As you probably know, I'm a bit of a Francophile, but I do find it mildly amusing, above all else, 'cos its one in the eye for the Crazy Frog:

As someone said on the radio earlier, no matter what Chirac eats at the G8 summit (he insulted British food a few days earlier), it'll leave a bitter taste in his mouth...

In all seriousness, I'm really chuffed.
I'm sure there will be plenty of nay-sayers, but I think us Brits can be proud...:-)

AFAIK, host cities to the Olympics never write black numbers when the overall bill is due, so congratulations to London for being the most eager of the lot to lose a gigantic sum of money.

Yeah, they should spend the money much more prudently, like on the administration of the EU ;-)

Of the recent summer olympics, only Athens has lost money.  I am guessing that London Olympics will make money and provide years of work for alot of people.

Well the county I live in, Kent, is one of those bordering London - its also Britain's gateway to Europe, as we have ferry ports, including Dover, the channel tunnel and Eurostar, as well as a couple of small airports. I heard one report saying that they think the foreign media alone will spend £20 million in Kent...
