Apologies for my part in dragging this on, it wasn't my intention to 'martyr' him :lol:

But I always back the underdog, and always gave him the benefit of the doubt and fought on his side, including the first time before he was originally banned - many people attacked him simply because he was DoomMaster, rather than because he'd done anything to upset them; That kind of 'kids in the playground' mentality, where some kid gets picked on because he gets picked on, if you know what I mean. So I always felt the need to stand up for him, and do now to an extent, for some reason :-?

Recently he offered some useful advice to people, believe it or not, and I thought his picture of the A500 tower conversion was cool.

Ripping off EdKing wasn't really on though, and shooting himself in the foot in a public forum such as this.

Anyway, I shan't say any more on the matter, other than its a shame he couldn't have behaved.

I doubt it. Doomy is much older, lives in Oregon and sells stuff on ebay under a different nick.
In fact, there's a pic in the gallery of him in the early 80s with a C64 rig. Whereas that Merlancia guy would have been in nappies ['diapers' for the Yanks] then.

I think your real problem with these machines is that somehow you got stuck with an A500, and feeling jealous of those with newer machines, you decided to grab a nice A500, stick it in an ugly arse PC-style case, and put some expansions in it (which are nothing to call home for, actually), and pretend to be mega hardcore and so super cool.

Welcome to the real world. The Amiga 1200 is a much better platform than your "Tower of Power"... hahaha, the name gives it up isn't it?
