"RAINING BLOOD! FROM A LACERATED SKY!"

I don't really listen to much metal these days, but this is one thing I might be persuaded to purchase. It truly is a classic.

I feel like getting hold of the people who listen to Shi tknot , Linkin Park, etc and making them hear this and say, "THIS is real metal!"
This is when metal wasn't trendy, when people didn't wear hooded tops and hang around skate parks, when to be a metaller was to be different from the norm, to be a hairy misfit clad in black, rather than to be trendy and do what all your mates at school did.

/sorry, rant over :-)

@redrum

I accept I got a bit carried away there, and slagged off Slipknot without really hearing them, which I shouldn't ever do of course :-(
I should know better! But you're right, I do associate them with all the nu-metal bands (urgh, would a horrible name!).
Perhaps I should go and hear them before I pass judgement...

Its just that when I worked in a record shop a few years back, it seemed that every 14 year old kid who came in the shop wanted a slipknot t-shirt or hooded top. (In fact, my friends renamed the shop "Music Stop" to "Hooded Top Stop" because we did so well out of this business) But it seemed more like fashion, than people actually liking the music. People seemed to base what they listened to not on what they liked, but what it was trendy to like.
