bvision and fastata (bvision kit)
« on: March 16, 2006, 08:40:15 AM »
Hi all. I want to put in my system with mediator also a bvision. And here is a litle problem with fastata, it is not have place for bvision. So, i check google, and found that for it need a 'bvision kit for fastata'. I found only one picture with 4 sockets, and how i understand this construction just spare sockets and fastata can be put a bit lower and bvision can be set. So! question to all who have bvision with fastata - can you plz do some photos of this construction ? becouse i want to made it myself, and just want to see how it realise from elbox. (or maybe someone can give some link with BIG photos) Thanks.

darksun9210, can you make a photos of this kit from both sides ? I just interesting how made contacts between rom sockets. Also i will make own kit becouse for me it will cost somethink over 20$ (with shipping) and one month of time :) Also, i am already have these roms socket. Becouse i have internal scandoubler, and fastata will not fit with it and i was must to little 'UP' fastata by 2 new socket roms. And i buyed 4 roms (only for 15 cents per socket), and 2 was unusable. So, now i have 4 and will want to make big amiga monster with tons of hardware :) On this picure i see somethink other except 4 roms. For what reasson this cable spagetty ? And for what reasson here is blue paper ?:)

replace old cable ? here is only one cable from chip to fastata (and this cable have only 14 pins). As i understand i must to solder 2 rom sockets (where is 40 pins for each, so 80 pins) and i musr solder all 80 pins to new pins. But for what reassons i need to change old 14pin cable ?

best way is someone anyway will can to made a photo :)

btw, here is my fastata/mediator shoot with new cable which i used in fact of internal scandoubler

Well, i want to move fastata a bit to left side of motherboard, and put the bvision under mediator.

do you mean rise fastata to up ? but mediator can't allow to me more than one new socket to kikstart rom + fastata + kickstarts on top (becoise mediator fit no so upper on mather board).

So, i thinking about rise fastata to left side (not uppear). And as i understand, elbox kit it is only 4 sockets and new cable, and sockets just fits 2 in each ? If yes, it is not help me, need do somethink other .. or rise fastata to left side (do new stuff with 4 sockets like on bvision picture, and solder every contacts on botch. Or, do somethink with mediator and a bit 'up' it, but have no idea how ..
