Unable to install icaros 1.5.1 in USB stick
« on: February 02, 2013, 08:00:30 AM »
I formatted the memory stick into FAT32 and under vmware player I ran icaros desktop. I even set all the USB ports configuration in vmware and when I tried to run the "Create Installation Pendrive" I get the following error message "An AROS formatted pendrive has not been connected to the system. Please read chapter 3 of Icaros user manual and run this script again, when ready." The USB stick does not even show in icaros desktop. So I decided to run Icaros directly from the file Win32-START.bat only to be greeted with the same error message no matter what approach I am doing.

Can someone help me on this please? Where am I going wrong? I would love to make a USB bootable of Icaros 1.5.1 if possible.

Thanks in advance.

I doubt that Poseidon supports vmware USB ports. You'll need to do this on your real machine (boot your PC from the Icaros DVD).

Oooh :( It is one of those huh? What if I want to use it in a laptop that have no optical device storage? Do I first boot it in a different computer with optical storage install it in a memory stick then use the memory stick in that laptop with no optical storage?
