This is the most important news to me, because I am intending on buy AmigaOS 4.2 and I am intending on buying AmigaOne X1000 in the future. I want both classic Amiga and this Amiga system. This AmigaOne X1000 will by new PC upgrade instead of buying a new PC hardware. So yeah this update is very relevant to me.

Wise men don't piss on the past while praising the future, Bill.  There is room for everyone without wiggling a finger towards people "stuck in the past", but let's not blind people of shortcomings in each solution.

A.org is a ragtag crew of misfits, drunks, perverts and weirdos.  I couldn't have picked a better place to call home.  The one thing we can all agree on is we love the Amiga, regardless of what incarnation one chooses.

Some are strictly 68k folks.  Some preach MOS like it is Jesus Risen.  Some people are fawning all over themselves about OS4, AROS, FPGA, Natami, Emulation, the list goes on.

If you enjoy it, whatever you use - Godspeed.  Room for everyone.  I'll say the same to the guy that's monkeying around with an old C64, making it do Twitter, or the Atari dude still using a ST for MIDI in a world of ProTools.

It's easy to compute now.  Computers are like using a toaster.  The Amiga, she's got personality.  You don't keep these bastards running unless you know what you are doing.

The 68K guys get giggles out of the fact us PPC miggy users have issues with old software.  I get giggles out of the fact they are patching together old 1200's with accels that haven't been made for years and etc.
No animosity, we're on the same boat in the end.

hehehehhe, that sentence above is amazing :lol::lol::lol:

I just get giggles, giddy all over and have my hair on the back of my head standing with a great smirk on my face watching my Amiga 1200 (classic) able to watch movies in high fps frame rate 25, with great quality sound and colors, and still be chatting on IRC and programming on it at the same time. This is the biggest dream I could ever achieve.

My ultimate golden goal is be able to do that, chat on IRC, program, play games on workbench (as she is playing movie in workbench screen again here) and browse in the internet and view 90% of the websites online...if my Amiga 1200 classic could DO all of that....then...I would say she is the main computer for all my daily work...as this is exactly what I use my PC for!! Games? Serious games? xBox 360. This is what I use my xBox 360 for!!!

This way i can finally do computing without the agony of having to deal with my PC viruses on viewing website, website flooding my PC with adware and spyware and worry someone out there is going to infect my Amiga with some horrible force or hack it.....the security measure would flood up the roof. NOW THAT IS MY GOLDEN GOAL OF ALL GOALS!!!

Am I dreaming only?

Erm, something tells me that perhaps the problem isn't specifically down OS4 or it's port of OWB.

As you can see, it works just fine here. I'm posting the screenshot from it now. And that's from an A1XE, which everybody knows are far and away the flakiest machines...

"in the world"

I want to buy AMIGA X1000 NOW!!! TO be ABLE to do my online banking and gmailing and other online stuff in Amiga OS....* whistles hard *
