Installing OS4.1.0, OS4.1.1, OS4.1.2, OS4.1.3 in a row in order to get a clean-slate system seems a bit uncomfortable IMNSHO?
Your "row" isn't mandatory. The only "must"-clean install in this row was and is Update 1. Update 2 and 3 can be installed just over the running system, just like MorphOS. I did this with both my AmigaOS4.1 systems, both Updates (2 and 3) were done after ca. 3 minutes, reboot, that's it, very comfortable. No problems, everything stable and nice.
Most problems occur due to "clutteterd" systems and wrong installs from 3rd party software. Same here with my MorphOS2.7 system when some crazy stuff "re-arranged" MOSSYS: - which is a bad idea as you already know. And - btw - the recent MorphOS SDK does exactly the same prodecure like AmigaOS Update2/3, go figure...
