When you say manipulation software, what do you mean?
Software for adding effects or software for changing screen output size etc
DVD/VCD authoring is a major plus
Not sure about vcds but for dvds, this is what i use
SpruceUp for authoring
Nero or Primo for burning
CloneDVD or DVDXCopy for cloning
