If u plan on using the recorded dvds in a dvd player then as well as writing software you will also need some sort of authoring software, someone mentioned mount rainier, i followed the link and it seems it only works with dvd+rw discs, i would not recommend using them as they are too expensive, you really need to be using dvd-r (dvd general) at the moment they are more compatible than dvd+rw and you can pick them up for little more than cd-r discs

The way i wrote the last post made it seem mount rainier was authoring software, i did not mean it was.

I think Blu-Ray is better 23gb capacity or upto 2hrs HD quality or 5hrs of standard dvd quality.
