Hi Amiga frends,

Today i have release the now version off DayDream BBS v2.50 !!!

It is only download on the HQ BBS and may not distributed on Internet !!

This is what is new and changed in the new version:

- Change Copyrights

- Change from SHAREWARE TO COMMERCIAL SOFTWARE.

- Update more Telnet compatible.

- Update KEYFILE checks for hacking.

- Clean up the source code and optimize for faster speed.

- Update libs/dreamdoor.library

- New field in configfile: DayDream.DAT - Disable logfiles. (Line 19)

- Modified local uploading line in strings directory (Search for temporary)

- 3 new fields in Archivers.DAT - last three tho..

- Wait 3 secs etc changed in Strings... Search for "wait 3" and replace it
  with:

36mP34m)0mrivate, 36mQ34m)0muick35m:0m  "

- Added field to Multinode.DAT, node priority. Check the last field in
  Multinode.DAT.

- Replace following utilities w/ new ones: DreamConfig, Rexx.

- Add line ALIENS... to DayDream.DAT.

- Remove all that stupid run <>nil: stuff from door launch command. That is
  not necessary anymore, in fact DD might crash if they are still there.

- Add line SECF_OLM.. to Security.DAT.

- Add line MNODE_TEMPDIR. to Multinode.DAT.

- Change line Free uploading space in strings...

- Add line MNODE_OWNDIR.. to Multinode.dat.

- Update the strings, i suggest you to copy new ones from the archive and
  make required changes..

- Add line QUICKLINEED to DayDream.DAT.

- Update all doors and utils..

- Enjoy the new version :-Q

- Big changes in Strings.XXX. I suggest you to delete your old ones and
  customize the default strings..

- Add BASE_FILEATTAC - field to Conferences.DAT

- Add SECF_PRVATTACH and SECF_PUBATTACH-fields to Security.DAT.

- Add ARC_DISPLAY.. - field to Archivers.DAT

- New utils, rexx and DreamConfig. Update them.

- Add line LINEEDCOM... (DayDream.DAT)

- Add lines
CONF_FREELEECH N
CONF_NOCREDS.. N
CONF_SENTBY... Y
CONF_PASSWORD. -

  to conferences.DAT.

- New config file for DreamMail (Update it!)

- Add some stuff to strings... (Everything at the end)

- Add line FSED...... (DayDream.DAT)

- Add line MNODE_FIXRED (Multinode.DAT)

- Add line IO_AFTERCALL (IoDevices)

- Add some stuff to strings... (Everything at the end)

- Archivers.DAT is rewritten

- Add line SECF_VIEWFILE (Security.DAT)

- Add line CONF_LONGNAMES (Conferences.DAT)

- New version of DreamNew. Configfile is also new for DreamNew.

- Update these doors: Faker, FSEd, Grab and New.

Yes Valdimir has quit on coding on DD. for years and i take me a long time for contacting him about the sources, i take this over from him i can not tell you more about this is something between him and me. It was not for free.

And have conpleed rewritte the source optimize it and so on.... it is stil in ASM 86K.

For the price for the full key you can read that in the DOC file i dont going to put the price on the forum here, this is has something to do with my policy...

About DD for linux i dont know the coder i have see that hi was locking for the sources off Amiga bet the are never send to him, i and Vladimir are the only that have the sources codes.

I coded every day on DD for getting more things functions in DD, it is my full time job every day coding on DD.

I hope you understand me about the price that i dont going to put it here.

Take a visit on my system then you see the lasted beta that i'm working in in real.

I thought the DD authors were Finnish (for some
reason)... so you own the (c) for DD? Is it still 68k ASM or now in C? I thought DD died years ago and then someone invented a DD-NT for Linux...

Is there still a shareware or demo version and how much is the full program? You posted your "advert" without telling us the "bottom line"

I know this i have already give a reply on your BBS.

This is a problem what terminal you use, i know SyncTERM send some CR's out when you call in and this is the problem, i have check my sources and there is nothing wrong in the code, i have tested with Hyperterminal in XP and this works perfect!

PS: I have with my terminal on some PC BBS system the same problem...

Hmm, that's weird.  I tested SyncTERM with an older dd bbs (1.30b4) and didn't have the issue..?

This problem is fix now, it was not any bug in DayDream it was a problem with telser.device, i have see that telser.device thinks that this was a modem connand, i have change the telser.device to telnetd.device and has a user let test with SyncTerm and now it is working!

No this is not a bug i do this for some resion...

You just have to do this. it is also in the doc file..

In the MuiConfig in the node setup command line for start your node

Run <>NIL: DayDream n1 h

And then it works perfect !

Hi Rudi,

I noticed that you have a problem, the same one I had when using daydream with telnet.  It doesn't disconnect calls correctly.  It just writes this at the bottom of the screen:

+++
ATH0
ATZ

But doesn't drop carrier.

This problem doesn't happen with system x, sigma x, ami x, or anything else I've tried.  The system x source is available (I think on aminet?) if you want to take a look at how it is interfacing with the telnet device.

I'm investigating it on this moment and testing it here, i have call your BBS and try to chat you...

I try again i a few mins to get you in a Chat on your BBS.

I still have the same issue when testing.

When you login to most telnet bbs's and type the command for goodbye, logoff, whatever, it logs you off.  But with daydream for amiga it doesn't...it keeps doing the +++ATH0 or whatever until you press alt-h from the telnet client.

When you register DayDream now you pay 30 euros for a key normoly is the registration price for a Key 80 euros.
