There are also pens with conducting ink you could try.

I've had good luck with this approach.  I used a CAIG CircuitWriter pen to repair the membrane from a Sun keyboard a while back.

So.. how do you use this conductive pen?

Now that I look through my toolbox, this is what I used on the membrane: http://www.bareconductive.com/shop/electric-paint-10ml/.  I don't remember what I used the CircuitWriter for, but they're more or less equivalent.

The trace that runs out to the pad is a copper strip with a protective covering (conformal coating) that makes it appear light green.  Carefully scrape back the covering on either side of the break to reveal the copper, then draw a line with the pen or paint to connect the copper on either side.  You probably don't need to remove too much of the coating.  I'd try 1-2mm on either side of the break.

(In the Sun keyboard, the trace was made of exposed carbon or something similar that got washed out by a spilled drink.  It was just a matter of painting over the trace, no scraping was necessary.)
