Maybe there was a slight brown-out? Power hiccup? Or potential power supply beginning to fail? (I hope not!)

How did you wire up the microATX power supply and how do you turn on the machine? Do you still use the "long" plastic push button?  I would like to put in a smaller power supply, too, to my A4000 to save valuable space... :)

Your PSU mod is great! And I like the cut-out you did on the A4000 case at the back..but what tools did you use to cut that? :) I want to do it :-)

I have already made a Lexan (plexiglass) top cover for my A4000 :) Looks great! I should upload a pic...but I also want to mod the PSU area and cut out the metal at the back of the case...need to get the tools...

Did you use a Dremel? What else? Thanx :)

Cool...just curious where you got the black edging around the back of the power supply "hole" you cut (and what it is called?) and also the wire mesh... :)

thanks!!

Btw, I picked up all the tools I need to mod the power supply and the case itself.

I did a small test cut on a spare A4000 Power Supply housing and boy is there alot of sparks!! :)  First time I've ever used a dremel so it was interesting :)  It did make a clean cut through the metal, but it is clear you have to have a steady hand to do this :)

I need something to keep the power supply casing in place while I cut.  I don't have a vice right now :-/  I will post some pix when I am done :)
