Don't expect any sympathy from anyone here, you should have got a Mac and bought a MorphOS licence or just downloaded AROS and used your existing PC.

Funny, this whole discussion of the merits of one option vs the other parallels a long discussion I had with David Morris.
And while I now own a G5, I would still consider an X2000 or a SAM460 (at least if MorphOS were an option).

I can't remember, but does the CPU variety in the X2000 series of boards have Altivec?

If so and it was possible to buy one without the Hyperion tax and
MorphOS was ported to it then I'd consider one myself if the price was right.

ARIX support would seal the deal.

On MorphOS Altivec is  
automatically used if present, programs don't have to explicitly use it.

I just stated the minimum requirements that need to be met for me to buy an X2000. Altivec and MorphOS.

Programs need to be compiled for Altivec whatever the OS. It's different code to non-Altivec. The only exception is where Altivec is used in shared libraries, but that's rare.

That's the Amiga way, use shared libraries that use different code paths depending on what hardware features are available. MorphOS carries on that tradition, it's a shame if OS4 doesn't.

Now I ask for full refund including import taxes. Great leader from Canada has told me they have left X1000 behind and focus on Cyrus. So yes, its exactly what Nemo lacks - CPU power and its much visible under modern Linux.

OS4.1 works as advertised on the hardware he received and he knew in advance that certain PCI cards would be provided to provide the advertised functionality.

4.2 will bring 3D acceleration for the newer generation of Radeon cards.  Probably far more important to most users than any multi-core support.

To be honest, I don't give f*ck what MorphOS has before or later, simply not a interested. I don't see why always MorphOS users want to bash other people hobby, that is most important single factor to me to not interest that OS. It is like many MorphOS hobyists have some kind of small dick syndrom?
